A Taste of Beekeeping

 

A brief introduction into the exciting hobby of beekeeping. A mixture of theory and ‘up-close’ with some bees.

In the class we will cover briefly what is involved in keeping bees together with the equipment and time required.

In our apiary you will have the opportunity to take a look inside a working hive and have the chance to see how you get on with a large number of bees around.

 

 

This is an afternoon session – preceded by a light lunch in our Salon de The.  

This is a small group session for a maximum of up to 6 people.  

Protective clothing (jacket/veil/gloves) are provided, but you will need to have Wellington boots and thick trousers.

 

 

The course will be hosted at La Chevrerie Salon de The, part of Arbres et Abeilles Nursery (Chez Perochon, 86250 Genouille ).

 

 

Cost: 20€ (includes a light lunch in the cafe).
